Barbara Jean (Richardson ) Hayes age 85, of Cleveland, Alabama passed away Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Hayes is survived by her husband Lewis Ezra Hayes, her sons Jerome Hayes and Darryl Hayes(Teresa), her grandchildren Torrance Hayes(Katie) and Caley Bollen(Chad), great grandchildren Patrick Hayes, Audie Bollen and Arlo Bollen and she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Bessie Morris Richardson, her brothers Charles, Jerry, Bruce and Dennis (Dink) Richardson and her sisters Linda Ward and Charolette Davis.

The family has requested no services or visitation. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in her memory to the American Cancer Association (donate.cancer.org) or to the American Alzheimer's Association (act.alz.org).

Mrs. Hayes enjoyed sewing, making cheerleader outfits, wedding gowns and clothes for everyone, it was her passion. After her retirement she loved to quilt and make all kinds and different design quilts. She loved animals and always had cats and dogs around the house. In her later years, she enjoyed working the Search Word books and would walk about 2 miles with her dog Bear. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and reading, but most of all she loved her family very much.
