Blake Elliott Steeley, age 34, of Hayden passed away Saturday, December 17th, 2016 at UAB Hospital. Mr. Steeley was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to many. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid Alabama fan who loved playing softball or baseball with his children. Spending time with his family was important to him. Mr. Steeley was employed with Old Dominion Freight Lines as a Supervisor. Survivors include wife Samantha Steeley; children Logan Elliott, Johnathan Gunter, and Ariel Elizabeth Steeley; mother Tina Bryan Steeley; grandmother Jean Camp; sister Kelly Steeley and Jack Best; 3 nieces and 1 nephew; a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends. He is preceded in death by his father Johnathan Elliott Steeley and grandmother Agnes Steeley. The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Tuesday, December 20th from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 at 12:00 pm in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Mount Joy Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama. Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
