Mr. Bobby "Chief" Hudson, age 82, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, May 28th, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Hudson was a Mason with Dry Creek Lodge #626; former Mayor of Nectar and previous Fire-chief of Nectar Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and was an avid Alabama fan. Survivors include son Randy Joe (Maudie May) Hudson; daughter Judy (Randy) Underwood; grandchildren Andrea Murphree, Clay Murphree, Rachelle Hudson, Rynn Hudson, Steven Underwood, Brandy Carpenter, Jeremy Carpenter, Kyle Hudson, Shannan Chastain, Scott Chastain; and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Ludie Marsh Hudson; wife Shirley Rae Hudson; and brothers Paul Hudson, Erskin Hudson. Family will receive friends at The Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 30th, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 31st, 2017 at 11:00 am in The Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Nectar Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama. Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
