Brenda Dyar, born on June 1, 1945, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026. Her life was marked by a rich tapestry of personal passions, close family ties, and a devotion to the things she loved most.

Brenda was a vibrant individual whose interests reflected her warm and lively spirit. She had a special fondness for ice cream and gardening, activities that brought her comfort and joy throughout her life. A talented musician, Brenda enjoyed singing and playing various instruments, sharing her gift of music with family and friends. A dedicated fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide football team, she embraced the excitement and camaraderie that came with following her favorite sport. Additionally, Brenda’s love of cats was well known by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her beloved sons, Chris Dyar and his wife Suzette, and Shannon Dyar and his wife Diane, who carry forward her legacy of love and strength. Brenda's memory lives on through her grandchildren—Tate Dyar, Logan Dyar with his wife Starlyn, Taylor Armstrong with her husband Blake, and Shiane Dyar—as well as her five great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of immense pride and joy for her. Brenda is also survived by her brother, Max McWhorter, and sister, Helen Hawkins, who share in the loss of a cherished sibling.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Verbon and Gertrude McWhorter, and her brothers, Collins and Kenneth McWhorter. Their memories remain an enduring part of her story and the family history she treasured.

Brenda Dyar's life will be remembered for her warmth, her diverse talents, and her unwavering affection for her family and interests. Her passing leaves a profound void, but her impact and the love she shared will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.
