Charles Gilliland age 88, of Locust Fork passed away Thursday, October 23rd, 2014 at UAB Hospital . Survivors include Son: Chuck Gilliland (Donna) Son: Carlton Gilliland (Carolyn) Daughters: Brenda Webster (Curtis) & Kim Dawson; Sister Norma Collier; Grandchildren: Judy Anderson, Larry Oddo, David Gilliland, Phillip Dawson(Kayla), Patrick Dawson (Kristin) & April Dawson. A host of great-grandchildren, he is preceded in death by Parents: Dewey Gilliland - Father and Jennie Gilliland - Mother. The family will receive friends at Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Sunday, October 26th, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Monday, October 27th, 2014 at 11:00 am in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Tabernacle Cemetery in Locust Fork , AL . Mr.Gilliland was retired from the UAB Police Department. Mr.Gilliland was a Mason-Lodge #481, Amaranth, Eastern Star, City Council Member, Locust Fork & Zamora Shriners.
