Christopher Wayne Brooks

Christopher Wayne Brooks, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of deep love, kindness, and laughter that will linger in the hearts of those who knew him. Born on November 12, 1967, Christopher’s life was a tapestry woven with devotion to family, generosity of spirit, and a childlike joy that warmed every room he entered.

From the earliest days, Christopher’s greatest treasure in life was his family. As a devoted father, he poured his energy and affection into his children—Tiffany D’Angelo (Mike), Tyler Brooks (Alexandra), and Christopher Kyle Brooks—raising them not just with care but with remarkable heart. He was a guiding influence, shaping character through gentle wisdom and everyday moments, whether at home or on the baseball field. Christopher found joy in being the baseball coach while they were young, creating memories beneath bright summer skies and teaching lessons in courage, teamwork, and fun.

His love extended even more deeply as he welcomed the next generation. Christopher cherished time spent surrounded by his grandchildren: Paisley D’Angelo, Avaeah Brooks, Kayci Brooks, Caroline Brooks, Charley D’Angelo, and Colby Brooks. Their laughter and hugs were the light of his later years, and he held each of them close, building bonds that will echo lovingly over the years to come.

Nothing brought Christopher more happiness than simply being present in the lives of his loved ones. He had a knack for turning ordinary afternoons into special memories, and for him, the simplest joys—like sharing a cup of ice or listening to his favorite band, KISS—became celebrations of life’s little pleasures. Friends and family alike recall his remarkable generosity and bighearted nature. Christopher would do anything for anyone, never hesitating to offer a helping hand, encouragement, or a warm smile.

Christopher’s caring spirit extended to every corner of his world. He was a steadfast brother to Shane Brooks (Dana) and a loving uncle to Brady Brooks, always inspiring with his warmth and understanding. His enduring friendship with Stephanie Brooks reflected a lifetime of love, loyalty, and mutual support. Through every chapter of life, they remained steadfast friends, sharing a bond that brought comfort, strength, and countless treasured memories.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Charles Brooks and Jo Ann Goode Brooks, whose memories he carried with him and honored throughout his life.

Christopher’s life will be honored and remembered on Thursday, July 23, at Cleveland Funeral Home. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend the visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by funeral services beginning at 12:00 PM.
