Claude Earl Richards, born March 31, 1960, passed away on October 15, 2026.

“

He was a good, caring person whose sense of humor brought light to those around him.

Claude will be remembered as a dedicated farmer, a kind-hearted man, and someone who always stood for what was right. He was a good, caring person whose sense of humor brought light to those around him. He loved jokes and had a way of sharing laughter that made time with him easy and memorable. He was also a devoted fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and loved NASCAR racing, interests that added to the joy he found in life and the conversations he shared with family and friends.

More than anything, Claude will be remembered for the steady goodness of his character. His caring nature and warm spirit left a lasting impression on those who knew him. Whether through a laugh, a kind word, or the example of his convictions, he gave others much to hold close in memory.

He is survived by his brother, Jimmy Richards, and his sister, Brenda Johns. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will carry his memory forward with love. Each of them, along with many others whose lives were touched by his kindness and humor, will remember him with deep affection.

Claude was preceded in death by his father, O.C. Richards; his mother, Mary Sue Glass Richards; his sister, Enida Ann Box; and his brother, Robert Oscar Richards. Their memories remained an important part of his life, and now he rests in peace with those who went before him.
