Cyndia Rose Gilbreath

Cyndia Rose Gilbreath, a cherished soul whose warmth and dedication touched the lives of many, peacefully passed away on May 16, 2026, in her beloved hometown of Cleveland, Alabama. Born on August 8, 1947, in Cleveland, Cyndia embraced a life filled with love, service, and devotion to her community and family.

Known for her deep commitment to the Town of Nectar City Council, Cyndia’s passion for public service was matched only by her heartfelt devotion to the Nectar Baptist Church, where she was an active and beloved member. She poured her energy and kindness into managing the Community Senior Center and worked tirelessly at the Olive Home, advocating for and supporting senior citizens with unwavering compassion. Her love extended beyond people; she was a devoted caretaker of her dog, Lucky Sue, who brought joy to her days. Yet above all, Cyndia’s greatest joy and pride were her children, grandchildren, and family—her true legacy.

Cyndia’s family was the center of her world. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Terry M. Gilbreath; her daughter, Suzanne Vance, and her husband JR; her sons, Jerry Ronnie Fuller, Jr and his wife Kandie, and Robert S. Fuller and his wife Bridget; as well as ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who were the treasures of her heart. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Sue Gaither, and brother-in-law, Felix, along with a host of nieces and nephews who admired her strength and kindness.

Cyndia was preceded in death by her parents, Roosevelt Laney and Pearl Ora Standridge Laney, whose legacy she carried forward in grace and dignity.

A visitation to honor Cyndia’s life will be held on May 20, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Following this, a funeral service will commence at 11:00 AM at the same location, allowing friends and family to gather and reminisce on the beautiful moments shared with her. The service will be followed by her burial at Nectar Cemetery.

The pallbearers honored to carry her to rest are Bo Bowens, J.C. Graham, Kenny McAnnally, Felix Gaither, Max King, and Kevin King—each reflecting the profound respect and love felt by all who knew her.

Cyndia Rose Gilbreath’s life was a testament to kindness, dedication, and boundless love. Her presence illuminated every room, and although she has left this earthly world, her spirit and legacy remain woven into the hearts of all she touched. As we say goodbye, we hold dear her memory—a beacon of warmth and grace that will forever guide and inspire us.

Officiating the service for Cyndia Gilbreath will be Bro. Mike Murphree.
