Mr. Donald Edwards age 82, of Cleveland passed away Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 at his residence, surrounded by his family.

Survivors include: wife Josephine Edwards, sons Eddie Blackwood (Maria), Joey Edwards (Sylvia), Joseph Janik (Chelsea), Jan Gary Janik (Jennifer), daughters Karena Janik Haynes (Jonathon), Janie Tankersley, Jenny Wilkins (Chad), sister Martha Woodward (Jim), daughter-in-law Meloney Edwards, 24 grandchildren and many great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Arnold and Beatrice Edwards, sons Donnie Edwards and Allen Blackwood.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Friday, April 14th, 2023 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 15th, 2023 at 1:00 pm in The Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Mt. Joy Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama.

Mr. Edwards loved to fish and garden. He enjoyed singing and preaching, He also loved watching westerns and "cowboy shows" and was an avid Alabama fan. Mr. Edwards loved his family and his church family. He was an extremely kind-hearted man and made a statement wherever he went. He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him.
