Donald "Sock-um" Posey age 78, of Cleveland passed away Friday, June 19th, 2020, at his residence, surrounded by his family. Survivors include wife Jane Posey, son Chris Posey (Chrissy), daughter Melissia Rose (Raymond), sister Betty Moore (Bob), grandchildren Destin Faulkner, Beth Boles, Hannah Rose and 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded In death by his parents Sam and Gladys Posey. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 22nd, 2020 at 11:00 am, in the Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel located at 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049, with burial to follow in the Nectar Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama. Mr. Posey enjoyed welding, telling stories, and he loved his dog "Zip". Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
