Gary G. Greer, age 76, of the Locust Fork Community, passed away Monday, September 8th, 2014 at his residence. Survivors include wife Carolyn Robinson Greer; son Randy Greer; daughter Nora (Tommy) Roberts; brothers James E. (Mickie) Greer, Ronnie (Susan) Greer, Donnie (Diane) Greer, Larry (Janice) Greer; sisters Marlene (Billy) Coker, Lisa (Steve) Jarvis, Rachael (Rufus) Hammett, Christy (Michael) Partain; grandchildren Brett (Katie) Greer, Christina (Kevin) Ingram, Tyler Roberts; great grandchildren Faith and Braxton Greer, Ariel Mikel; and a host of nieces and nephews., He is preceded in death by his parents Marl and Ruby Greer; and great grandchild Hope Greer. The family will receive friends at The Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Wednesday, September 10th, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 11th, 2014 at 11:00 am in The Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Marsh Cemetery in Locust Fork , Alabama. Mr. Greer enjoyed music, playing the piano, gardening and farming. Family would like to extend special "thanks" to Davita Dialysis. Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
