In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother
It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Geneva Head. She departed this world peacefully at home on December 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family.
Geneva was born on March 22, 1938, to Nealy and Susie Bryant. She is predeceased by her devoted husband Coy Head, her cherished son Marty Head, and her dear siblings Vedus Morton, Leonard Bryant, Gene Payne, Cloie Henderson, Nell Martin, Corene Johnson, James Bryant, and Jack Bryant. Geneva's Legacy is carried on by her loving sons, Tim Head (Vyckie), Ronnie Head (Jennifer), and Jeff Head (Bobbie). Her spirit will forever be reflected in the lives of her adoring grandchildren, Amanda Ferguson (Christopher), Jennifer Head, Taylor Wison (Stephen), Coleman Head, Joseph Head, Craig Head (Wendy), and Amy Halligan (Justin), as well as her treasured great-grandchildren, Tylor Rose, Jesse, Noa Jane, Braden, Kaley, Sophie and Justin Jr.
Our mother was the heart and soul of our family – the rock we all looked to for guidance and support. Through her actions, she taught us the true meaning of the love of God - compassion, generosity, and resilience. Her gentle words and nurturing guidance shaped us into who we are today, and her unconditional love was a constant source of comfort and strength.
Mom's love for God and her family was the compass that guided her entire life, and she passed that on to all of us. Her happiest moments were seeing members of her family accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. She filled our home with love, laughter, warmth, and an endearing wit that that was infectious to everyone around her. Her love for God and life extended to her friends, neighbors, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was always ready with a helping hand, a listening ear, or a comforting embrace.
Our mother's passions were many, but her biggest joy in life was her family. She devoted her entire life to being a mother to her three boys, a wife to her husband Coy, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also found joy in the simple pleasures of gardening, cooking, sewing, traveling, painting, antique shopping and celebrating every family milestone, big or small. She took pride in every accomplishment of her children and grandchildren and was always there to provide encouragement and support.
She is walking with Jesus now and although her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit remains woven into the fabric of our lives and her memory will remain in our hearts forever. We will honor her by living our lives with the same Godly kindness, courage, and grace that she demonstrated to us every day. Though her absence leaves a void, we find solace knowing she has found eternal peace with God and is surrounded by friends and family that have gone on before her.
A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on January 2nd, 2026, at Nectar Cemetery to celebrate her remarkable life.
Rest in peace, dearest Mom (Nana). We love you and you will always live in our memories and hearts.
