It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Wade Teal, aged 84, on May 21, 2025, in Birmingham, Alabama. Born on April 10, 1941, in Blount County, Alabama, Harold lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to his family and friends.

Harold was the beloved son of Marion and Effie (Blackwood) Teal. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Kenneth, Joe Mack, and Lee Teal, as well as his sister Rachel, and his dear friends Leslie Gilliland and Gary "Skyder" Autrey. Harold's legacy of love and kindness will be carried on by his devoted wife of 63 years, Shirley (Johnson) Teal, and their three cherished children: Terry Teal and his wife Karen, Kevin Teal and his wife Wendy, and daughter Amanda (Teal) Isbell. Harold took great joy in his role as a grandfather, providing guidance and love to his grandchildren: Madison (Teal) Armstrong and her husband Hunter, Andrew Teal, Caroline Teal, Kayla Isbell, Trifon Teal, Ahna Teal, Jack Isbell, and Blake Teal. He will be greatly missed by his miniature schnauzer and best friend, Bear, who was a constant source of companionship.

Throughout his life, Harold embodied the spirit of adventure and hard work. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, often spending his days in the great outdoors. Known for his exceptional carpentry skills, he built not only structures but also a home filled with warmth and love for his family. Harold's green thumb allowed him to cultivate vibrant gardens, which he took great pride in nurturing.

His jovial nature made him a beloved figure among his friends, particularly at the Hunt Club where he enjoyed gambling and sharing jokes that would often leave everyone in stitches. Harold's greatest joy, however, came from spending time with his family; the bonds he forged with them were a testament to his unwavering love.

Harold's funeral service will be held on Saturday May 24, 2025. A visitation will take place from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home, followed by a service in the chapel at 11:00 am, officiated by Bro. Rick Dill. He will be laid to rest at Mount Joy Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama.

As we remember Harold Wade Teal, let us celebrate a life that was not only lived fully but touched countless others. His spirit and joy for life will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Harold's love will continue to guide his family and friends, encouraging them to cherish each moment, share laughter, and cultivate love, just as he did so effortlessly.
