Mr. James Grant Johnson age 80, of Hayden, Alabama passed away peacefully Friday, March 18th, 2022 at his residence after a long battle with cancer.

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of 4 loving years Betty Jo Johnson, daughter Becky Brown, honorary children Jay and Rhonda Green, Shelly and Richard Cook, brother Bobby Johnson(Caren), sister Peggy Green(Jack), sister-in-law Shirley Johnson, grandchildren Heather Brown, Hayley Clark(Cory) and Matt Brown, honorary grandchild Maddy Cook, great grandchildren Campbell Brown, Brooks Brown, Olivia Clark and Charlotte Clark, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members. Grant is preceded in death by his parents Jesse Willard and Esma Hudson Johnson, his loving first wife of 50 years, Joyce Johnson, son Phillip Johnson and his brother S.D. Johnson.

The family will receive friends at Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 St Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Sunday, March 20th, 2022 from 12:30 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 20th, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Nectar Cemetery in Nectar, Alabama. Bro. Joel Johnson and Bro. Richard Martin will officiate.

Pallbearers are Bruce Johnson, Darrel Johnson, Kent Johnson, Gary Green, Jay Green, Richard Cook, Cory Clark and Matt Brown.

Grant loved to fish, play golf , travel and could fix anything that needed to be fixed, most of all he loved his family very much.
