James Kenneth Witt, age 75, of Hayden passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23rd, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Witt was well known in this area for his peach and strawberry farms; he loved his work and being outdoors. Mr. Witt enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, football and car racing. He loved his dogs, Elvis and Lucy.

Survivors include wife Virginia Rucks Witt; sons James Bradford Witt, Joe Lynn and Sandy Witt, daughter Judy Jones. Mr. Witt had seven grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Della Hazelrig Witt; brother Larry Witt; sister Bernice Witt.

The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 11:30 am until 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 26, 2017 in the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm, with burial to follow at Green's Chapel Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama.
