James Monroe Miller, 79, passed away on July 24, 2024, in Alabaster, Alabama. Born on November 8, 1944, James was a man of simple tastes who cherished the small joys in life. He was an ardent fan of NASCAR and baseball, following both the Atlanta Braves and the Chicago Cubs passionately.
Throughout his life, James was dedicated to his work, embodying the virtues of hard work and perseverance. His commitment to his family and his work were the cornerstones of his life, providing for his loved ones through his unyielding efforts.
James was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Sandra Miller; his daughter Marie Tidwell (Tommy); sons James Miller (Dana) and Randy Miller (Lee Ann); stepsons Robert Huie and Mike Huie; sisters Betty Sue Chien, Mary Box (Larry), and Mina House; grandchildren Tommy Tidwell Jr., Randy Allen Miller Jr., Katherine Bagley, Ashley Barker, Emile Hoffman, and Amber Gibson; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Judy Miller and brother Chuck Miller.
Graveside services for James will be held at the Mt. Joy Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama, on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 2:00 pm. The Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, AL, is assisting the family during this difficult time. James's life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
