James Mancel Peeks age 66, of Locust Fork passed away Wednesday, February 15th, 2017 at St. Vincent's Main, Birmingham. Survivors include Son: Christopher Peeks; Daughter: Christy (Brian) Bowman; Brothers: Ricky Peeks and Rodney (Shelley) Peeks. Sister-in-law: Paula (Harold) Gorham. Grandchildren: Alexus and Harper Bowman and a host of nieces and nephews-lots of friends. He was preceded in death by his Parents: James Forest and Jessie Youngblood Peeks and Loving Wife of 45 years: Vickie Gail Bice Peeks. The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, February 18th, 2017 from 12:30 pm until funeral service time at 2:00 pm. with burial to follow at Youngblood Cemetery in Locust Fork, Alabama. Mr. Peeks was employed and retired from CSX Railroad as a Switchman. He was a Mason. He enjoyed working in his yard, Alabama Football and an avid Cowboys fan. He loved motorcycles, trains and most of all his grandbabies.. Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
