James Stevens age 81, of Hayden, passed away Tuesday, September 3rd, 2019 at his residence . Survivors include his son Michael Stevens, son-in-law Elvis Leniger, sister Patricia Stevens, grandchildren Rhett Leniger, Raven Strickland, and Alyssa Stevens, great- grandchildren Daven Strickland and Dylan Strickland. He is preceded In death by his parents Robert and Claire Stevens, and several siblings. The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 State Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049. Friday, September 6th, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 7th, 2019 at 11:00 am in the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel.Cleveland, Alabama with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Mr. Stevens was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He loved camping, travel, crime mysteries, the History Channel and Auburn Football.
