John Ed (Eddie) Burgess Jr. age 67, of Locust Fork passed away Sunday December 19, 2021 at Marshal Medical North in Guntersville, AL. Survivors include his brother Gillham James Burgess (Debbie), his Aunt Peggy Holt (Frank) , cousins Jackie Lanninham (Paula) and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Mr. Burgess is preceded in death by his parents John Ed Burgess, Sr. and Annie Inez Thomas Burgess, and his brother Thomas Edward Burgess (Tommy). Services for Mr. Burgess will be Wednesday December 22, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home, 17885 State Hwy 160, Cleveland, Al.. Visitation for Mr. Burgess will be Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm., with burial to follow at Edgewood cemetery in Locust Fork, AL. Eddie retired from the Coast Guard after 20 years of service, he loved to travel and lived in many places Hawaii, Japan, California, Tennessee, and many more. He moved back home to help with his family farm, Eddie was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
