Mr. JP "Pete" Herndon, age 75, of Hayden, Alabama, passed away on March 9, 2024. Born on September 22, 1948, in Alabama, he was a beloved brother, father, and grandfather. JP was known for his love of playing dominos, his strong work ethic, and his passion for farming. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making others laugh.

JP is survived by his brother BM "Barry" Herndon (Joyce), sisters Estelle Hawkins and Ezelle Hudgins, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Vergie Herndon, son Jason Herndon, daughter Jamie Farr, brothers TJ, RH (Roy), and WC (Dub) Herndon, sister Inez (Poochie) Herndon, and two infant sisters.

The visitation for JP will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 1pm to 2pm at Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, AL. Funeral services will follow at 2pm, with interment at High Rock Cemetery in Hayden, AL.

JP "Pete" Herndon will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
