IN LOVING MEMORY OF
June "Hollingsworth"
Stark
October 20, 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of June Louella "Hollingsworth" Stark, who left this world peacefully at a family home in Cleveland, Alabama, on October 20, 2025. Born on June 19, 1939, in Alabama, June lived a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. She was 86 years old.
June was the cherished daughter of Charles and Jewel "Gilliland" Hollingsworth. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her brothers—John, Charles, Acton "Doc," and Tracy Hollingsworth. June also mourned the loss of her sisters—Helen Brumblee, Mylo Dempsey, Jewel Lowe, and Louis Sweat. Despite these losses, her spirit remained bright, and she spent her life honoring their memories by nurturing those around her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Ralph Stark, and her brother, JC Hollingsworth, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who adored her. June was not just an aunt; she was a second mother to many, extending her love and guidance to the younger generations in her family with a warmth that only she could provide.
Professionally, June dedicated her career as a governmental administrative assistant, where her organizational skills and attention to detail were highly valued. Her colleagues appreciated her for her sweet, loving, and compassionate nature, traits that made her a favorite among all who knew her.
Outside of work, June's passions shone brightly through her hobbies. She found joy in gardening, tending to her plants with care and admiration, and found solace in sewing, canning, and knitting. She enjoyed crocheting and painting, expressing her creativity in beautiful, tangible ways. Alongside these activities, her love for animals was evident, as she often welcomed pets into her home, providing them with a loving environment.
One of June's greatest joys was helping to raise her nieces and nephews, whom she cherished deeply. She invested her time and energy into their lives, showing them the importance of kindness, hard work, and family ties. Her legacy of love will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those she nurtured.
June's funeral service will be held on October 22, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Green's Chapel Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate her life—a life that touched so many and radiated warmth and kindness.
As we gather to remember June Louella Stark, let us carry forward her spirit of compassion and love. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her soul will forever remain in our hearts.
