Obituary

Linda Cook, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on March 10, 2026, in Cleveland, Alabama, at the age of 75. Born on February 24, 1951, Linda dedicated her life to nurturing those around her and cultivating a warm home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Throughout her life, Linda was a woman of countless passions and interests. She found immense joy in the simple pleasures of sewing, gardening, and cooking, each activity a testament to her nurturing spirit. Linda loved shopping, particularly when it involved treasured moments spent with her grandchildren. Her deep bond with them was evident; they were everything to her. As a devoted grandmother, she took pride in teaching them valuable lessons and creating unforgettable experiences together, whether through her storytelling or family adventures to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, a destination dear to her heart.

Linda's family was her most significant treasure. She is survived by her devoted husband, Clifford Allen Cook, who stood by her through life's many seasons. Their daughter, Misty Stedham, and son, John Cook (Lauren), carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. The joy of her life blossomed in her grandchildren: Caelyn Stedham, Jacob Stedham, Ashley Cook, and Macy Cook, who will remember her as a guiding light and a source of unwavering support.

Linda was also a cherished sister, leaving behind her brother, Donald Spurgeon (Regina), and sister, Sandra Hubbard (Cecil). These family ties were enriched with the love of a host of nieces and nephews, who will miss her deeply.

While Linda has departed from this earthly realm, she is preceded in death by her father, Donald Warren Spurgeon; her mother, Vera Nell McCay Spurgeon; and her son-in-law, Wesley "Brandon" Stedham. Each of these loved ones remains in the hearts of her family, and her spirit will continue to resonate in their lives.

The celebration of Linda's remarkable life will be held on March 14, 2026, starting with a visitation at the Cleveland Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM. Her journey will conclude with a burial at Pine Bluff Cemetery in Locust Fork at 1:00 PM.

Linda Cook's warmth, generosity, and passion for life will never be forgotten. As her family and friends reflect on her life, they find comfort in the knowledge that her love will forever illuminate their paths.
