Obituary

Louis "Jack" Hazelrig age 88, of Hayden passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 14th, 2020 at TLC Nursing Facility in Oneonta, surrounded by family. He was predeceased by parents, Ollie and Gladys Hazelrig, brothers Revis, Virgle, and Paul. Through the years, he worked at ICC in Erie, Illinois, on the farm, and with the State Highway Department. He is survived by brother, Marvin Hazelrig, Cleveland; sisters Phyllis (Joe) Grigsby, Cleveland; Syble (Joe) Brindley, Oneonta; Carolyn (Bobby) Butts, Blountsville; Bettie (Charles) Little, Atlanta; Sandra Edwards, Arab; daughter Lisa (Allen) Rounds, Meridianville, two grandsons, A.C. and Austin, and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home on Monday, March 16, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Graveside funeral services will be held on March 17th at Green's Chapel Cemetery with Church of Christ minister, Stanley Freeman officiating. Pallbearers include Scott Butts, Charles Little Jr., Andy Brindley, John McRae, Austin Hazelrig, and Mike Hazelrig, Honorary pallbearers John and Mason McRae. Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
