Lynette Hardin Crane

With profound love and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Lynette Hardin Crane, who left this world on August 22, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on June 14, 1951, Lynette was a dedicated mother, beloved wife, and the radiant center of a large and loving family.

Lynette’s story is written in the kindness she showed and the warmth she brought to everyone around her. A true coffee lover, her mornings were often filled with gentle laughter and the aroma of her favorite brew. Those closest to Lynette fondly recall her as a sweet lady and a “hoot,” always eager for conversation and quick to brighten even the most ordinary moment with her spirit and wit. She was known for her unique ability to make everyone feel at home, and she delighted in having company—no gathering was too small to merit her wholehearted hospitality.

Family was Lynette’s greatest treasure. She was a devoted wife to Bryant Brasher, with whom she shared many adventures, laughter, and a love that deepened with each passing year. Lynette was a triplet, and the special bond she shared with her siblings was a meaningful part of her life and family story. Her legacy continues in her precious son, Larry Crane, and the grandchildren who brought endless pride and joy to her life: Tabatha Crane, Storm Crane, Malayia Crane, Montanna Crane, Jacob Crane, and Caylee Crane. The family expanded further with her great-grandchildren, Love Washington and Raynie Washington, each a testament to Lynette’s enduring love and nurturing presence. 

The light of Lynette’s memory shines bright among those who remain: her sisters, Brenda Johnson (Robert), Judy Franklin (Rodney), and Annette Atchley, whose lives are forever enriched by her humor, counsel, and unerring support. She cherished her family above all else, and every member—near or far—knew they held a special place in her heart. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will forever carry forward the lessons and laughter she freely gave, remembering her as the woman who adored them beyond measure.

Lynette is now reunited in peace with those who went before her: her beloved children Terry Crane and Shondria Crane; her father, Sydney Julian Hardin, and her mother, Clara Inze Thomas; her sisters, Linda Atchley and Jannet Rylant; and her brothers, Frank, Roy, Billy, and Horace Hardin. Their memories joined as a constellation of family love, their lives entwined in a legacy that continues through every story told and every moment shared.

Known for her playfulness—Bryant lovingly recalls her fondness for flirting and making smiles—a gentle mischievousness lingered in every room she entered. Friends and family alike remember her as someone “loved by everyone,” whose open arms and quick laughter turned friends into family and family into the very heart of her world.

To honor and celebrate Lynette’s life, a visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Cleveland Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., also at Cleveland Funeral Home. Interment will take place at 12:45 p.m. at Pine Bluff Cemetery in Locust Fork, Alabama.
