Martha Cornelius Brewer age 76, of Vestavia, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Monday, January 26th, 2015 at her residence. Survivors include husband Charles Curtis Brewer; sons Tony Sweatt, Rodney Sweatt; step-sons Mike Brewer, Jabe Brewer, Keith Brewer, Glenn Brewer; daughter Renee Posey; step-daughters Teresa Bailey, Darcy Gustin; brother Jerry Cornelius; twin sister Mary Davis; 7 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren, 14 step great grandchildren, and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Miles and Joyce Horton Cornelius and sister Meline Stevenson. The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Friday, January 30th, 2015 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Services will be following at 2:00 pm in the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Stanley Ryan officiating. Burial to follow at Mount Joy Cemetery in Cleveland. Mrs. Brewer was a homemaker that loved being with her family and was very active in her church. She enjoyed reading, taking care of the birds and walks.
