Mr. Martin (Marty) Van Sargent age 65, of Hayden passed away Friday, January 14th, 2022.

Mr. Sargent is survived by his wife Lanita Lynne Hurst Sargent, son Marty Brian Sargent (Nikki), mother Gailya Graves Sargent, step-mother Shirley Crump Sargent, mother-in-law Betty Tanksley Hurst, step-children Courtnay Cheyanne Snow (Jason) and Joshua Alan Vogel (Stephanie), brother Andrew Dale Sargent, sister Melanie Sargent Ladner (David), grandchildren Savannah Cheyene Sargent and Gavin Sargent (Sarah). He is also survived by
numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Sargent was preceded in death by his father James Dillon Sargent.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, January 18th, 2022 at 11:00 am in Graves Gap Cemetery in Hayden, Alabama.

Marty loved his family and music very much. He enjoyed working with his tractors and doing farm work.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be given to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
