Melanie Lynn (McGraw ) Conaway age 55, of Altoona, Alabama passed away Thursday, July 6th, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Conaway is survived by her aunt and uncle Susan (Knight) and Joseph Romano, her brother Ralph McGraw, her first cousin Matthew Romano and also by numerous friends and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Teresa (Knight) McGraw and her husband Charles H. Conaway.

The family will receive friends at Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 St. Hwy. 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Crest Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.

Mrs. Conaway had her degree in cosmetology and worked as a hairdresser/barber for over 15 years. She was a member of Clay Baptist Church in Clay, Alabama. She was a devoted caregiver for her grandmother Esther Faith Savela. She loved her pets very much, but most of all she loved her family.
