Nelda "Dee" Love Brakefield, age 77, of Hayden passed away Saturday, August 15th, 2015 at her residence. Survivors include son James (Pam) Brakefield Jr.; daughters Sharon Knox, Faye (Danny) Moore; brother Jimmy (Frankie) Love; sisters Jewel Brakefield, Anne (Carmon) Woodley, Patricia (Seborn) Johnson; grandchildren George Randolph, Greg Randolph, Melinda Randolph, Melissa Dee (Jeremy) Owens, Jason Adam Hopkins, Thomas James Brakefield; 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Sam and Nettie Love; husband James Brakefield; brothers Clyde Love, Sam Love Jr., Ed Broadhead, James Broadhead; sisters Margie Thomas, and Eloise Ballard. The family will receive friends at the Nectar Baptist Church, 70 Schoolhouse Road Cleveland, Alabama 35049 on Wednesday, August 19th, 2015 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held following visitation on Wednesday, August 19th, 2015 at the Nectar Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Nectar Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama. Mrs. Brakefield loved her family, enjoyed reading, crafts and was a very good cook. Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
