IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Norman Doyle
Killingsworth
September 20, 1934 – February 26, 2026
Norman Doyle Killingsworth, a devoted father, proud veteran, and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. Born on September 20, 1934, Norman’s life was a tapestry of service, hard work, love, and warmth that left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know him.
As a young man, Norman answered the call of duty with honor, serving in the United States Army during the Korean War. His role as a medic stood as a testament to his compassionate spirit, tending to his fellow soldiers with care and dedication amidst the trials of war. This sense of commitment and service remained a guiding force throughout his life.
Norman found joy in the simple and meaningful pleasures—meticulously tending to his yardwork, casting his line in quiet moments of fishing, and skillfully competing on the rifle team. He was also known for his love of grilling BBQ, mastering the craft of bringing family and friends together around good food and even better company. Above all, his identity was deeply rooted in his family; a man of great pride, but never in an unkind way. His stories, told with heartfelt passion and warmth, were a treasure trove that connected generations and kept memories alive.
His generosity knew no bounds, exemplified by his readiness to adopt anyone in need—welcoming them as if they were his own, offering support and belonging with an open heart. Norman’s unwavering work ethic and steadfast dedication were as strong as the bonds he forged through love and kindness.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Linda Ann Killingsworth; his son, Perry Killingsworth, along with his wife Karen; and his daughter, Brenda McCullar. Norman also treasured his adopted grandson, David Keith Killingsworth, and his wife Amanda. His legacy lives on vibrantly through a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, who carry forward his spirit and values.
Norman was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Barbara Ann Killingsworth, his father Howard Killingsworth, and mother Viola Strall Killingsworth. He was also joined in eternity by his brothers Walter, Rudolph, Joe, Tommy, and Carl Wayne Killingsworth.
Norman Doyle Killingsworth’s life was a beacon of love, resilience, and generosity. He offered comfort, humor, and strength to those around him and leaves behind a heritage rich with memories, love, and the enduring example of a man who truly lived for his family and country. His story will continue to be shared, cherished, and honored in the hearts of all who knew him.
