Mr. Parker Jerome Higgins, age 73, of Blountsville passed away Wednesday, April 1st, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Higgins loved fishing, hunting, and growing a garden. Survivors include sons Kenneth (Rhonda) Higgins, Bobby (Amy) Higgins; daughter Carole Higgins; brother Floyd Higgins; sisters Pearlie Jean Russell, Connie Sue Smith, Janice Gilkey; 7 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents John and Lula Mae Higgins; wife Carolyn Cook Higgins; brothers James, Clifford, Henry, Billy, Robert, Howard and Stanley Higgins. The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 State Highway 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 on Friday, April 3rd, 2015 from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held following at 12:00 pm in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at High Rock Cemetery in Hayden, Alabama.
