Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Randall "Randy" Thomas, who left this world on February 2, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on November 2, 1972, Randy was a beloved son, husband, father, and friend whose warmth and spirit touched the lives of many.

Randy was the cherished son of Helen "Cagle" Kendrick. He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Thomas, who stood by his side through life's many adventures, as well as his two precious daughters, Morgan and Gracyn Thomas, who were the light of his life. He is also survived by his loving mother, Helen Kendrick. Randy was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Cagle, whose memory remained a source of strength for him.

A devoted family man, Randy had an immeasurable love for his daughters. He took great pride in their achievements and spent countless hours cheering them on in their pursuits. His legacy of love will live on in Morgan and Gracyn, who will carry the values and lessons he instilled in them. Randy's dedication to family was matched only by his passion for sports. He was an avid enthusiast of all sports, spanning from hockey and golf to his beloved Auburn football and the Atlanta Braves. His spirited discussions about games and players brought joy to those around him, and he could always be found rooting for his teams with fervor.

Randy also had a keen eye for treasure hunting in antique stores, where he relished the thrill of finding rare and unique items. He appreciated the beauty of music, with a special fondness for classic rock, which often served as the soundtrack to his life. Whether he was sharing a good song with friends or reminiscing about cherished memories, his love for music was a testament to his vibrant spirit.

Visitation will be held, Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home . The visitation will take place from 6 PM to 8 PM, providing family and friends an opportunity to gather, share stories, and celebrate Randy's life.

Randy's laughter, kindness, and zest for life will be dearly missed by all who knew him. As we mourn his passing, we celebrate the remarkable man he was and the profound impact he had on our lives. May his spirit find peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us every day.
