Reba Nell Stephens

Reba Nell Stephens, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed from this life on July 15, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on August 19, 1940, Reba’s journey was marked by kindness, devotion, and an enduring love for her family, faith, and community.

To know Reba was to know genuineness and heartfelt warmth. She had a way of making everyone around her feel special, lighting up gatherings with her infectious smile and quick-witted pranks. Friends and family alike remember her for her unwavering friendliness and loving spirit—a true people person whose open heart touched all who crossed her path.

Reba’s talents were many and her passions wide-ranging. She found joy in crafting and took delight in surrounding herself with flowers and the gentle company of animals, especially cats. Her kitchen was the heart of her home; many will recall the irresistible aroma of her legendary biscuits and gravy, the kind of comfort food that spoke volumes about her devotion to nourishing loved ones not just with meals, but with memories.

Music was a constant companion throughout Reba’s life. She carried a lifelong love for dancing and remained a devoted fan of Johnny Cash, often filling her days with melody and movement. Her playful nature shone through in game nights with family, where laughter always echoed and pranks were pulled with a twinkle in her eye.

Central to Reba’s life was her deep and abiding faith. She cherished her relationship with the Lord and imparted those values—quietly, steadfastly—to those she loved. Her devotion was a wellspring from which she drew strength and comfort, guiding her through both joyous and challenging times.

Reba’s love for her family anchored her life. She is survived by her devoted son Dalton Stephens (Donna) and loving daughter Judy Stephens. Her grandchildren—Misty Pack (Adam), Michael Lowe (Brandie), Matt Stephens, Robert Moore, Megan Price (Corey), and Chase Stephens—carry forward her legacy of warmth and kindness. Eight great-grandchildren—Emma Pack, Jayden Pack, Connor Stephens, Mia Stephens, Arabella Silcox, Jackson Silcox, Wyatt Price, Easton Price, Mason Lowe, and Maverick Lowe—will grow up hearing stories of her laughter, compassion, and the love that she so freely gave. Many nieces and nephews also mourn her passing, forever grateful for her wisdom and affection.

Reba is preceded in death by her beloved husband Homer Lee Stephens; her cherished son Tony Anderson Stephens; her father Benjamin Jay Stephens; her mother Olive Steed Adams; her brothers Fred Stephens and Benjamin Stephens; and her sister Overtis Stephens. The loss of each has left an indelible mark, but together again in peace, their spirits are reunited.

Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Reba’s life at Cleveland Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on July 20, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at noon. A graveside burial will take place at Mount Joy Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.

Reba Nell Stephens lived with an open heart, a playful spirit, and endless generosity. As we remember her, we hold close the memories of laughter, love, biscuits warm from the oven, hands busy with crafts, and the sound of music that so often filled her days. She leaves a legacy of kindness and devotion—a tribute to the beautiful life she led and the hearts she continues to touch.
