Mrs. Renate Fritz age 85, of Oneonta passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10th, 2017 at Diversi-care Nursing Facility in Oneonta. She had a wonderful love of animals, caring for many on their farm over the years. Mrs. Fritz enjoyed music of all kinds and spending time with her family and friends. She had a very tender heart and a great sense of humor. A retired Medical Technician working in the Podiatry field, she was born in Geislingen, Germany to John and Elsie Beernunder Poth. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband John Fritz. Her wishes were to be cremated. There are no services at this time. Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
