Rita Karen Staton, age 54, of Oneonta passed away Sunday, October 5th, 2014 at her residence. Survivors include her parents Vernon Allison and Reba Creasap; son Mark Staton; daughters Sharon Hall, Sandra (Robert) Manning, Jennifer Goodwin (Jesse Quinn); Kristina Fanning; brothers James Anthony Allison, Arthur Gerald Hutton, Shawn Patrick Creasap; and 15 grandchildren.She is preceded in death by son Daniel Goodwin. The family will receive friends at the Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Tuesday, October 7th, 2014 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 7th, 2014 at 12:00 pm in Blount County Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Brown Cemetery. Mrs. Staton had a love of helping people and had been employed as a nurse at the Golden Living Center. Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
