Robert Edward Baty age 80, of Oneonta, Alabama passed away Sunday, December 3rd, 2023 at TLC Nursing Center in Oneonta, Alabama.

Mr. Baty was survived by his wife of 54 years Rosa Baty, sons Alan Baty (Heather), Steven Baty (Dee) and Ryan Baty (Bonnie), brother Joe Baty, grandchildren Libby, Clark, Wyatt, Anna Grace and John T. Baty. Mr. Baty was preceded in death by his parents Edward Lester and Bernice Deaver Baty and his sister Jane Ponder.

The family will receive friends at Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 St. Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049 Thursday, December 7th, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Glenn Conner officiating. Burial to follow at Cleveland Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama. Pallbearers will be Scott Baty, Marc Ponder, Darrel Ponder, Zach Baty, Paxton Ponder, Clark Baty, Wyatt Baty and Ryan Baty.

Mr. Baty was a member of Cleveland Methodist Church. He was an educator, farmer and a jack of all trades, but most of all he loved his family very much.
