Rodney Paul Robbins Jr. age 54, of Hayden passed away Sunday, March 7th, 2021 at his residence. Survivors include: wife of 35 years 8months and 16 days Helen Hutchings Robbins, his mother Linda Martin Robbins (Paul Grund), sons Rodney Robbins(Christy), Jonathan Robbins(Katerina), Forrest Robbins(Alex), Jeffery Robbins, and Jack Robbins(Lexie) , his only daughter Meagan Harris(Trey) and 9 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Paul Robbins, grandparents Jack and Jewel Poole Robbins, Arlie and Laconia Miller Martin, and two uncles. The family will receive friends at Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home 17885 St Hwy 160 Cleveland, Alabama 35049. Wednesday March 10th, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 10th, 2021 at 2:00 pm in the Blount County/ Cleveland Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Nectar Cemetery in Cleveland, Alabama. Rodney was born March 17, 1966 in Birmingham, Alabama. He served almost ten years in the U.S. Army reaching rank of Sgt. (E-6) before being medically discharged in 1994. Rodney was a veteran of the Gulf War. He accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of 15. Rodney loved serving his country, working on old cars, motocross, but most of all he loved his family.
