Samuel David Higginbotham, age 50, of Oneonta passed away on Friday, November 1st, 2019 at St. Vincent's Blount Hospital. Survivors include mother Donna Moon Higginbotham, brothers Coy Higginbotham, Zendal Higginbotham, Wendal Higginbotham; brother-in-law Danny Harris; sisters Nila Harris (Martin), Reba Johnson (Clifford); special friends Bonnie Standridge and family; numerous nieces and nephews; a large church family and lots of friends. He is preceded in death by his father Coy Ervin Higginbotham. The family will receive friends at the Youngblood Chapel on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 3rd, 2019 at 11:00 am in Youngblood Chapel, with burial to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Trafford, Alabama. Mr. Higginbotham was involved with the ARC of Blount County. He sang at nursing homes for years and had a love of gospel music and listening to his Bible.
