Sharon Honeycutt

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Sharon Honeycutt, a beloved member of the Locust Fork community, who left us on May 18, 2026. Born on February 21, 1972, Sharon touched the hearts of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

Sharon was more than just a skilled professional; she was a compassionate soul who spent over 30 years serving as a barber in Locust Fork. Her chair was not merely a place for haircuts but a sanctuary where she treated her customers with the same love and respect that she reserved for her own family. Her genuine care and personal touch created lasting relationships, and she considered every person who sat in her barber chair as an extension of her family.

An ardent lover of animals, Sharon found joy in the company of her dogs and cats, cherishing the simple happiness they brought to her life. She also expressed her creativity through painting, an art form she embraced with passion and sincerity. Her faith was a cornerstone of her existence; as a devoted member of the Locust Fork Baptist Church, she found community and strength not only within the church walls but especially in her beloved Sunday School Class, where her spirit shone brightly.

Family was the heartbeat of Sharon’s life. She poured boundless love into caring for her husband, Jason Honeycutt, and their son, Carson Honeycutt. Her home was a haven of warmth and comfort, a testament to her nurturing nature and endless devotion. She held a deep affection for all her family members, creating cherished bonds with her mother, Betty Hogeland Self; her sisters, Regina Harbison (Jeff) and Patsy Palmer; her brother, Glenn Hogeland; and sister-in-law, Veraell Hogeland. Her life was also enriched by the many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory forward.

Though Sharon’s journey here has ended, the legacy of those who have gone before her was a part of the fabric of her life. She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Hogeland; her brothers, Allen Hogeland, Montie Hogeland, and Doyle Hogeland; and sister-in-law, Joyce Hogeland. Their memories live on within her and those who loved them all.

A visitation to honor Sharon’s life will be held on May 23, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Locust Fork Baptist Church. Following this, a memorial service will take place at the same venue from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., providing a sacred time to reflect, remember, and celebrate a life beautifully lived.

Sharon Honeycutt’s life was a tapestry woven with love, faith, and dedication. Though she has left this world, her spirit remains alive in the hearts of those she loved and touched. Her kindness, her laughter, and her unwavering love will continue to inspire and comfort all who were blessed to know her. Rest in peace, Sharon—you will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

Bro. Randy Cater and Kirk Etheridge will officiate the memorial service.
