Shirley Howton age 81, of Trussville passed away Sunday, May 9th, 2021 at the Trussville Health and Rehab surrounded by her loving family. Survivors include her daughters Julie Pannell (Robert), Sharon McElroy (Scott), grandchildren James Andrew Pannell (Elizabeth), Nicki Elaine Pannell, Caitlin Elizabeth McElroy, great grandchildren James (JP) Pannell Jr. and Elouise Faith Pannell. She is preceded in death by her parents Carl Andrew and Mary Pearl "Hill" Lower, husband John Gilbert Howton and brother Nile Edward Lower. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, May 15th, 2021 at 1:00 pm in the Sand Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayette, Alabama. Mrs. Howton loved all animals, especially her cats. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, and gardening. Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
