She never met a challenge she could not overcome and fought a good fight after falling and fracturing her hip. Mama loved her family deeply. She often longed to reunite with her mother and "just have a talk". Vasie graduated from Cleveland High School at the age of 17 and married her lifelong sweetheart Dwight Morton, the following day. They remained married for 37 years until Dwights death seperated them. Vasie worked as the manager of the Dairy Queen for greater than 20 years. She employed many of her nieces over the years. She even employed her 2 children and taught them a strong work ethic and to never give up. The grandchildren often argued who was MawMaws favorite. A testiment to how she made each one feel special. She loved deep and wide in all things. The friends Vasie made through life were lifelong. Her neighbors were neighbors and friends for 60 years and even traveled the world with them. Our Mama and MawMaw loved family and friends and they loved her too. She will be missed by all who knew her. Rest High on that Mountain Mom-------- till we meet again..
