Warren Paul Johnson, 72, passed away on July 9, 2024, in Oneonta, Alabama. Born on June 26, 1952, in San Francisco,California he was a revered professor at the University of Alabama and a noted inventor. Warren's passion for innovation was evident in his work with solar panels and in his architectural contributions to the university campus. An avid Alabama fan, his spirit and enthusiasm touched all aspects of his life.

Warren leaves behind his brother, John Randall (Randy) Johnson, along with a host of cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Eugene and Jeanette Warren Johnson, and his beloved wife, Sharon Faust Johnson.

A graveside service will be held Thursday July 11, 2024 at 10:00 am at Dailey's Chapel Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

The Blount County/Cleveland Funeral Home in Cleveland, Alabama, is handling the arrangements. Warren's life and legacy will be remembered by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
